Privacy Policy

1. Overview

PriceRight Pro ("the App") is developed and published by Nimble Dragon Media, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how that information is used, and the choices you have regarding your data.

By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.


2. Information We Collect

2a. Business Data You Enter

The App stores business and financial data you create directly, including:

  • Job estimates, invoices, proposals, and change orders
  • Client names, contact details, and billing history
  • Vendor names, categories, and purchase history
  • Expense records, receipt attachments, and payment notes
  • Mileage trips, start/end addresses, and business purpose
  • Business settings: company name, logo, rates, and tax information
  • Subscription-tier preferences and feature configuration

All of this data is stored locally on your device and synced to your private iCloud account via Apple CloudKit. We — Nimble Dragon Media, Inc. — do not have access to this data and never receive it on our servers.

2b. Device Permissions

The App requests the following iOS permissions. Each is used only for the specific feature described.

Permission How It's Used
Location GPS Mileage Tracker only. Used when you start a trip to record your route and calculate road distance. Location is never collected in the background and is never transmitted off your device.
Camera Receipt Scanner and Barcode Scanner. Camera frames are processed on-device by Apple's Vision framework. No video or images are stored from the camera feed itself.
Photo Library Write access only. Receipt images and PDFs you attach to expenses are saved to iCloud Documents — not to your Photo Library. This permission is requested if you choose to export a receipt to your Photos.
Contacts Read access for Client CRM import. Contact data you import is stored only in your iCloud-synced App data. We do not upload your contacts to any server.

You may revoke any permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security. Revoking a permission disables only the feature that uses it; all other App functionality continues normally.

2c. Receipt Images Sent to AI

When you use the AI Receipt Scanner feature, the following process occurs:

  • Apple's Vision framework performs optical character recognition (OCR) on your receipt image, entirely on your device.
  • The extracted text (not the image itself) is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI API for parsing.
  • Anthropic returns structured data (vendor name, amount, date, category) which is pre-filled into the expense form.
  • The raw receipt image is stored in your iCloud Documents and is never transmitted to Anthropic or to us.

⚠️ Important: OCR text extracted from your receipt — which may include merchant names, amounts, and dates — is sent to Anthropic's servers for processing. Do not use the AI scanner on receipts containing sensitive personal information (e.g., medical expenses, personal identification). Anthropic's privacy policy applies to data processed by their API: https://www.anthropic.com/privacy

2d. Smart Pricing Advisor

The Smart Pricing Advisor (Premium feature) sends a structured prompt to the Claude AI API that includes:

  • Your industry/specialty vertical
  • Your business profile description (if you have entered one in Settings)
  • The estimate details for the current job (line items and totals)

No client names, contact data, or personally identifiable information is included in Advisor prompts. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle API request data.

2e. Subscription and Purchase Data

Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment card information. Apple provides us with only the subscription status (active, expired, trial) needed to enable or restrict App features.

2f. Crash and Diagnostic Reports

If you have enabled "Share iPhone Analytics" in iOS Settings, Apple may provide us with anonymized crash logs that do not contain any personal or business data. We use these only to identify and fix software bugs. You can disable this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.


3. How We Use Your Information

We use information only to provide and improve the App's functionality:

  • Business data you enter is used solely to generate estimates, invoices, reports, and analytics within the App.
  • Location data is used only to measure GPS mileage trips and is not stored after the trip is saved.
  • OCR receipt text is sent to the Claude API only to parse expense details and is not used for any other purpose.
  • Crash logs are used only for debugging and quality improvements.

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing profiling, or sale to third parties.


4. How Your Data Is Stored

iCloud / CloudKit (Primary Storage)

All App data is stored in your private iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. This means:

  • Your data is protected by Apple's security and encryption.
  • Data syncs automatically across your devices signed in to the same Apple ID.
  • Nimble Dragon Studios does not operate servers that store your business data.
  • Deleting the App removes local data. Deleting iCloud data from Settings removes cloud copies.

iCloud Documents (Receipt Storage)

Receipt images and PDF attachments are stored in iCloud Documents under the App's private container. This data is accessible only from your iCloud account and is not shared with any party.

Local Device Storage

Some in-progress session state (e.g., an active GPS trip) is temporarily stored in device memory. This data is cleared when the trip is saved or the App is terminated.


5. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

Anthropic Claude API AI receipt parsing and Smart Pricing Advisor. OCR text and advisor prompts only. https://www.anthropic.com/privacy
Apple Vision Framework On-device OCR for receipt scanning. No data leaves your device from this step.
Apple MapKit / CoreLocation GPS route measurement for Mileage Tracker. Location is never transmitted to us or any third party.

We do not integrate any advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics platforms, or social media tracking in the App.


6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for their commercial purposes.

The only circumstances under which data may be disclosed are:

  • With Anthropic, as described in Sections 2c and 2d, when you actively use AI-powered features.
  • With Apple, as part of iCloud sync and App Store subscription processing.
  • If required by applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process (e.g., a court order). We will notify you of such requests to the extent permitted by law.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data persists in iCloud for as long as you maintain your iCloud account and have the App installed. You can delete individual records (jobs, expenses, clients, etc.) from within the App at any time.

To delete all App data:

  • Delete the App from your device — local data is removed immediately.
  • Go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → PriceRight Pro → Delete Data to remove iCloud copies.

We do not retain copies of your data on Nimble Dragon Studios servers because we never receive your data in the first place.


8. Children's Privacy

PriceRight Pro is designed for business use by adults. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at support@nimbledragonstudios.com and we will take appropriate action.


9. International Users

The App is developed in the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, your data is processed under US law. By using the App, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in accordance with this policy.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights regarding your personal data under applicable laws (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA). Please contact us at support@nimbledragonstudios.com to exercise those rights.


10. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights with respect to your data:

  • Access: View and export your data within the App at any time.
  • Correction: Edit any record directly within the App.
  • Deletion: Delete individual records or all App data as described in Section 7.
  • Permission withdrawal: Revoke camera, location, contacts, or photo access at any time in iOS Settings.
  • AI features: The receipt scanner and Smart Pricing Advisor are optional. You can use the App fully without ever using AI features.

11. Security

Your data is protected by Apple's industry-standard encryption in iCloud and on your device. We use Apple's native security frameworks and do not operate our own data infrastructure for App data.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no system can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong device passcode and enable Face ID or Touch ID to protect access to the App and your iCloud data.


12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this document and post the updated policy at:

For significant changes, we will notify you within the App. Continued use of the App after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
